IPIC advises caution in responding to any e-mails or other communications purporting to be from IPIC.
From time to time, unauthorized individuals may purport to be IPIC employees, agents or officers and use IPIC’s name, address and other information in attempts to defraud members of the public. These individuals may utilise materials including IPIC’s brand, name, logo and address, as well as the names of IPIC’s staff and management, without IPIC’s permission.
Please be wary of any such conduct. IPIC will never send you an unsolicited communication requesting any personal information, financial information or financial contributions.
Although IPIC does not take any responsibility for any fraud, and does not honour any commitments or promises made by fake employees, impostors or unauthorized individuals, IPIC does take all fraudulent activities, including internet fraud or identity theft, very seriously. In such circumstances, IPIC works together with local and international authorities in identifying fraudulent activities and the individuals perpetrating them and in bringing those individuals to justice.
Nevertheless, IPIC suggests that you be alert and confirm the authenticity of any emails or documents you receive that purport to be from IPIC by communicating directly with the relevant IPIC individuals that are purported to be interacting with you. In that regard, please also note that:
Please also notify us if a suspected fraud involves a misuse of the IPIC brand, name or logo, or the name of any IPIC employee, or a fake email address or emails purporting to be from IPIC.
If you have any questions about this, or want to notify us of any suspicious communication, please contact us here.
